Yeti, indeed, produces one of the best coolers on the market, based on ice retention, durability, variety of products, and, of course, quality. So generally, it is better than most cooler brands. With RTIC, however, it is different. The brand is rather new and is currently considered the main counterpart to Yeti when it comes to quality. I’d say it’s the best brand after Yeti, but way cheaper.

Quick question though. Everyone is praising the Yeti coolers and stuff, but is Yeti any better than RTIC coolers, for example? And why?

I don’t believe so. From my experience, you can only set it to freeze or refrigerate.

I’d go for something sturdy and spacious, Dometic CFX65DZ – this beast is literally indestructible. It should survive all the bumps and will keep you with fresh water and food for days

I will be travelling up to Colorado from Southern California next summer on my truck. I’m not a big fan of stopping on the gas stations and I plan to stock up ahead. Which one would be best here?

We think you have made a good choice! But we have a better recommendation for you. Yety Hopper Backflip is more suitable for fishing. It’s lightweight and holds the cooling temperature for a long time. It is soft-sided and easy to handle.

I can’t find the answer in the camping coolers reviews. I am interested in the lightweight model. Will the Yety Coper model suit me?

The major difference in camping coolers’ price is based on the cost of the materials. All of the best camping coolers ensure high-quality refrigerating features: low-priced models may work as long as expensive ones do. It all depends on how often you are planning to use the camping cooler. The most reasonable model, in terms of durability, we recommend is Pelican Products Progear Elite Cooler.
