Well, the only reason I put Wagan on top here, is because it’s can be charged from the car, and gives the best quality for the price. The Coleman brand, in general, is just as good! If you need a classic ice chest, Coleman Xtreme is the best here.

Oh, this is entirely up to you! The easiest way to determine the size is by the number of people you plan to accommodate. Large coolers (100qt) are suited for 4+ people, medium-sized coolers (around 50-70qt) can accommodate up to 4 people, and anything smaller than that would be good for 1-2 people.

If you are planning to make a backpacking trip, the only choice here would, of course, be the Oagear Backpack. Yet, if you are going to set up camp and chill out at the same spot, I’d take the electric Wagan El6224 cooler, as it can be plugged into your car. Thus, you won’t worry about melting ice.

I would say the Igloo Polar cooler holds ice the longest – it keeps ice up to 5 days. So, does Coleman Xtreme!

The Coleman is an incredible cooler for less than $50. It maintains freezing approximately as long as the Yeti, but it costs eight times less. However, the Yeti has far better construction value, so it lasts longer, due to its better construction.
